| Description: | Based on the proposal of an interface between Linguistic and Translation, we analyze the frequency and the functionality of Simple Past Perfect (SPP) and Compound Past Perfect (CPP) in Portuguese and Spanish. The contrastive analysis in this research has as sample the Brazilian film, “Tropa de Elite (EliteSquad)”, considering the audio material of the original version and the translated version in Mexico. The analysis of the use of SPP and CPP in the organized sample corroborates our hypotheses: (i) the SPP is the most recurrent verb form in both samples and there is a tendency to more use of CPP in the Mexican sample and (ii) occurrences of CPP in the Mexican sample confirm the polysemy of this verb form in the Spanish language indicating temporal, aspectual and modal notions. Con base en la propuesta de una interfaz entre Lingüística y Traducción, analizamos la frecuencia de uso y la funcionalidad de los pretéritos perfecto simple (PPS) y perfecto compuesto (PPC) en las lenguas española y portuguesa. El estudio contrastivo tiene como muestra el material de audio de la versiónoriginal de la película brasileña “Tropa de Elite” y de la versión traducida al español en México. El análisis de uso del PPS y del PPC en el corpus organizado corrobora nuestras hipótesis: (i) el pretérito perfecto simple es la forma verbal más recurrente en ambas muestras y existe una tendencia a mayor número deempleo del perfecto compuesto en la muestra mexicana; y (ii) ocurrencias del pretérito perfecto compuesto en la muestra mexicana confirman la polisemia de esta forma verbal en español, lengua en que el PPC indica nociones temporales, aspectuales y modales. |
