Description:	This article presents a detailed analysis of a group of Chilean and Mexican history textbooks published between 1920 and 1950, with a special emphasis on the different ways that racism is manifested in them. We reviewed their distinct representations of Greek and pre-Columbine antiquity and found that they are prefigured by their context and hence reflect the heterogeneity of – in this case – racist views. The goal of this approach is to contribute to the distinction of different types of racism that have been projected into still prevailing attitudes in Chile and Mexico. Este trabajo desarrolla un minucioso análisis de un grupo de textos escolares de historia chilenos y mexicanos publicados entre 1920 y 1950, y pone especial énfasis en las distintas maneras en que se manifiesta el racismo dentro de ellos. Para ello se revisaron las distintas representaciones de la antigüedad griega y precolombina, y se plantea que éstas se encuentran prefiguradas por su contexto, por lo cual reflejan la heterogeneidad de, en este caso, perspectivas racistas. El objetivo de este abordaje es aportar en la distinción de diversos racismos, que se proyectan hasta la contemporaneidad de los países en cuestión.
