Does Humboldt identify a profile of the Mexican as have Samuel Ramos and Octavio Paz, just to name a few? La obra a tratar es el Ensayo Político sobre el Reino de la Nueva España que abarca campos tan dispares como las ciencias naturales, exactas y sociales pero que se funden de manera formidable en un tratado sobre el territorio mexicano del siglo XIX; dicho de otro modo, Humboldt domina el estudio sobre los mundos mineral, botánico y animal, y además, los pone en relación el uno con otro. El mundo social en relación con su entorno. ¿Es posible abstraer una Antropología Filosófica de esta multifásica obra? ¿Identifica Humboldt un perfil de lo mexicano como lo han hecho Samuel Ramos y Octavio Paz sólo por nombrar a algunos?
