| Description: | This article seeks, first, to contextualize an anonymous satirical poem, unknown until now, which appeared titleless in Guadalajara on 12 November 1750. Second, it offers a modernized edition of the poem with annotations. The poem in question is a political satire directed against the contemporary authorities in the Royal Court of Guadalajara, pointing out the corruption of officials and their enrichment at the expense of others. In general, I argue that the poem could be explained by the discontent of the time; in particular, I indicate the clues which suggest that the person who wrote was close to the clergy, to the town council or to the major landholders of the region. Este artículo busca, en primer lugar, contextualizar un poema satírico anónimo, desconocido hasta ahora, y que apareció sin título en Guadalajara el 12 de noviembre de 1750. En segundo lugar, ofrece una edición modernizada del poema con anotaciones. Se trata de una sátira política dirigida contra las autoridades del momento en la Real Audiencia de Guadalajara, señalando la corrupción de los funcionarios y su enriquecimiento a costa de los demás. Se argumenta en lo general que el poema podría ser explicado por el descontento de la época, y se señalan en lo particular los indicios que permiten sospechar que quien lo escribió fue cercano al clero, al mismo cabildo o al grupo hacendario de la región. |
