Description: Two new species of Neotropical aquatic beetles, Crenitulus namasus sp. n. from the Apurense plain and C. merida sp. n. from the Andes, both taxa collected manually. Crenitulus namasus sp. n. is characterized by a minute diameter, while C. merida sp. n. It was characterized by its robustness. The main characteristic of the genus Crenitulus Winter, 1926 is evidenced in the corporeal shape, which is wide in the humeral margin and attenuated towards the apex, the antennae with nine antennomeres and the parameres pointed or attenuated towards the apex, in addition to presenting convexity in its outer margin. A review of the species deposited in the Museum of Arthropods of the University of Zulia, Maracaibo, Zulia, Venezuela is synonymized Crenitulus gamboa Garc铆a, 2016, with C. solstitialis Kirsch, 1873. Habitus, palps, antenna, chin, proventrite, mesoventral process and genital sclerite are illustrated and a list with all recorded Crenitulus species is included.
