| Description: | The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) is an integration with unmistakable characteristics where ambiental catastrophes, poor growth & development, problems with diversification of economic activities and social lacks, lead the countries to believe in integration to get better reality where they live. Decades later of the beginning of integration, the region cannot get closer to a complex integration, being just a simple commercial integration, where the primary sector prevails and keeps the region dependent of aid and commercial advantage to subsist, making it impossible for a healthy international coercion. La Comunidad del Caribe (CARICOM) es una integración de características inconfundibles, donde las catástrofes ambientales, el escaso crecimiento y desarrollo, los problemas de diversificación de actividades económicas y las carencias sociales, llevaron a los países a creer en una integración para mejorar la realidad en la que viven. Al paso de varias décadas, la región no ha podido dar el paso hacia una integración más compleja que la simple comercial, en donde el sector primario prevalece y mantiene a la región dependiente de ayudas y ventajas comerciales para subsistir, imposibilitándola a una coerción internacional sana. |
