Description:	In the present article, a revisionist view of world trade is presented, we revisit the proposal of Flynn & Giráldez (1995) and Tutino (2016) about a decolonial look the development of the world economy and we provide data on how the kingdom the New Galicia located in the west of what was New Spain was inserted in trade between the New Spain and China since the sixteenth century. This decolonial look allows us to rethink the history of international relations in a non-eurocentric way and, therefore, to orient research and understanding of phenomena from a long term perspective. En el presente artículo se ofrece una mirada revisionista del comercio mundial. Se retoma la propuesta de Flynn y Giráldez (1995) y Tutino (2016) sobre pensar el desarrollo de la economía mundial y se aportamos datos de cómo es que se insertó el reino de la Nueva Galicia ubicada en el occidente de lo que fue la Nueva España con el comercio entre este y China desde el siglo XVI. Esta mirada decolonial nos permite repensar la historia de las relaciones internacionales de manera no eurocéntrica y, por tanto, orientar las investigaciones y la comprensión de los fenómenos desde una perspectiva de más largo aliento.
