| Description: | Abstract: The present work tries to give an account of the reasons why there was a broad and systematic coverage of the Lozadista movement and its leader, reconstructing the context in which Lozada consolidated its regional power, as well as the relevant actions that were carried out in that period. In the same way, the work analyzes this coverage to understand the central elements of journalistic criticism towards lozadism, towards the way it was thought and reflected, highlighting the arguments and criticisms. To this end, various press organs contemporary with the so-called Álica tiger were used.

Resumen: El presente trabajo intenta dar cuenta de las razones del porqué se dio una cobertura amplia y sistemática al movimiento lozadista y a su líder, reconstruyendo el contexto en el cual Lozada consolidó su poder regional, así como las acciones relevantes que se llevaron a cabo en ese periodo. Del mismo modo, el trabajo analiza esta cobertura para comprender los elementos centrales de la crítica periodística hacia el lozadismo, hacia la forma cómo fue pensado y reflexionado, destacando los argumentos y las críticas. Para ello, se utilizaron diversos órganos de prensa contemporáneos al llamado tigre de Álica. Palabras clave: Lozada, Movimiento, Representación, Prensa, Agrarismo. |
