Description: This study seeks to gauge the level of engagement and interaction of seven Ministries of Foreign Affairs from the Americas with citizens who requested assistance through Twitter during the first months of the COVID-19 pandemic. Among the results obtained significant differences are identified, notably an increase in dialogic communication with respect to previous studies, explained by the state of emergency. In addition, countries that achieved high levels of engagement are those that focused their communication towards the user. Thus, different approaches to digital diplomacy are detected in its consular activities.
