Description:	The aim of this paper is to describe and analyze the discourse utilized by President George Bush after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. I carried out the analysis of the discourse strategies used by the main actors involved in justifying of the war on their foes. As a method for analyzing the discourse I relied on frame analysis. Framing involves selecting certain aspects of the reality perceived into a text in order to endorse definitions of the protagonist, antagonist and the conflict and then to propose some alternatives for the solution of said conflict. El objetivo de este trabajo es el de describir y analizar el discurso empleado por el presidente George Bush en la coyuntura del atentado terrorista del 11 de septiembre de 2001. Con este propósito analizo las estrategias discursivas empleadas por los principales actores involucrados para justificar una guerra contra sus adversarios. Como método, en el estudio de discurso, aplico el “análisis de los marcos” (frame analysis); “enmarcar” (framing) significa seleccionar determinados aspectos de la realidad percibida en un texto, para con este propósito promover una definición del protagonista, del antagonista, del problema y recomendar alternativas para la solución del problema.
