Description:	The following article is a literature review of the studies that address the impact of the democratic transition on Mexican journalism. This line of inquiry is among the most fertile given the debate between the authors that posit the normative change hypothesis and those that contend there’s a pragmatic continuity. Both perspectives are analyzed and a third way is proposed. El presente artículo es una revisión bibliográfica de los estudios sobre el cambio y la continuidad en el periodismo mexicano. Esta línea de investigación es una de las más fértiles por el debate entre los que postulan la hipótesis del cambio normativo y los que argumentan que predomina la continuidad pragmática. Se analizan críticamente ambas perspectivas y se propone una tercera vía para el análisis del cambio y la continuidad.
