| Description: | This article addresses the circulation of false news about the imports of Chinese nopal into Mexico in Mexico City's borough of Milpa Alta. By considering different journalistic versions about said topic, this research establishes a link between the interests of social actors and the mobilization of a collective historical, ethnic and economic rationale that resulted in the dissemination of rumours. Este artículo es el resultado de una investigación sociológica sobre la noticia falsa que circuló a nivel nacional y en Milpa Alta, al sur de la Ciudad de México. Al examinar las diferentes versiones del rumor periodístico de la importación de nopal chino a México, logramos mostrar cómo se articularon los intereses inmediatos de los agentes colectivos implicados, con temáticas de corte histórico, racial, y económico. |
