| Description: | This essay purports a typology of futurist representations made in films, using various approaches to modernity addressed by both the social sciences and the humanities. The text remit is laid out in three sections: the first describes the historical processes of modernity; the second discusses the cognitive mediations of futurist cinema and the third addresses some of the attributes regarding contemporary aesthetics of science-fiction. Este ensayo tiene como propósito identificar los tipos de representaciones fílmicas del futuro, a la luz de algunos planteamientos que sobre la modernidad se han producido desde las ciencias sociales y las humanidades. Inicio el texto con un panorama breve sobre los procesos históricos de la modernidad. A continuación abordo las mediaciones cognitivas del cine futurista y expongo, por último, algunos atributos en torno a las estéticas contemporáneas de la ciencia ficción. |
