Immature stages of P. daza are distinguished by ocular setae in all instars and by having a dorsal pit on the corner of each eye; the morphometric measures of the width of the head and the width of the pronotum, and the location of the dorsal thoracic plates; stages IV and V by its sexual dimorphism and patches of dark color on the ventral abdomen.
