Descripción:	Housing, refuge of humanity since ancient times has been transformed according to the needs of society: climatological factors, protection against natural disasters and the two pandemics that so- ciety has lived through have radically changed its design. The materials that have been used for its construction have evolved from the natural and sustainable to the processed, therefore, the cons- truction industry has become one of the most po- lluting and it is the responsibility of the builders to look for materials and construction systems with low impact and minimal carbon footprint. Research on sustainable materials and eco tech- niques is scarce; therefore, the objective of this paper is to disseminate earther construction re- search as a possible solution to this problem, pre- senting different construction techniques. The prototypes and research that have been carried out in the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism of the uat Campus Tampico-Madero, not only seek to validate ancestral techniques as safe, under regulations and laboratory tests, but also to innovate in the search for combinations and sustainable materials. Finally, the discussions address the issue of how the gender perspective affects such research. La vivienda, refugio de la humanidad desde épocas ancestrales, se ha ido transformando según las necesidades de la sociedad: factores climatolo?gicos, protección contra desastres naturales y las dos pandemias que ha pasado la sociedad la han cambiado radicalmente en el diseño. Los materiales que se han utilizado para su construcción han evolucionado desde lo natural y sustentable, hasta lo procesado, por ello la industria de la construcción se ha convertido en una de las que más contamina y es responsabilidad de los constructores buscar materiales y sistemas constructivos de bajo impacto y mínima huella de carbono. La investigación sobre materiales sustentables y ecotécnicas es escasa; por tanto, el objetivo del presente trabajo es difundir las investigaciones sobre la construcción con tierra como una posible solución a dicho problema, presentando diferentes técnicas constructivas. Los prototipos e investigaciones que se han realizado en la Facultad de Arquitectura, Diseño y Urbanismo (FADU), de la Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT), campus Tampico-Madero, no tan sólo buscan validar técnicas ancestrales y seguras, bajo normativas y pruebas de laboratorio, sino innovar en la búsqueda de combinaciones y materiales sustentables. Por último, en las discusiones se aborda el tema de cómo afecta la perspectiva de género a dichas investigaciones.
