dc.descriptionGlobalization is an undeniable and practically irreversible fact whose impact in the coming years, though still unclear, has led to uncertainties and widespread disruption. Consequently, the demand for universities to address human development and the pursuit and respect of human rights for all is nearly inevitable. The challenge of updating the university as a key player in the development of a democratic and sustainable society involves reviewing not only the program budgets of the curriculum, but also the ethical principles on which the education it promotes rest. There is therefore an undeniable link between human rights, the cognitive and methodological contents of the various disciplines and fields of knowledge, and a particular model of social-political-legal organization in order to achieve what we call “social and democratic state of law”.en-US
dc.descriptionLa globalización es un hecho innegable y prácticamente irreversible, cuyo impacto en los próximos años es todavía incierto, lo que genera incertidumbres y una perturbación generalizada. Por lo tanto, el compromiso que tienen las universidades para abordar el desarrollo humano y la búsqueda de respeto y derechos humanos para toda la sociedad es prácticamente ineludible. Ahora bien, el desafío para poner al día a la Universidad como un actor fundamental en el desarrollo de una sociedad democrática y sustentable implica no sólo revisar los presupuestos programáticos de los planes de estudio, sino los principios éticos en los que descansa la educación que promueve. Existe entonces una innegable vinculación entre los derechos humanos y los contenidos cognoscitivos y metodológicos de las distintas disciplinas y campos del conocimiento con un modelo determinado de organización jurídico-política-social para lograr eso que llamamos “Estado social y democrático de Derecho”.es-ES
