Descripción:	Faced with a possible federal reform in civil and family procedural matters, according to the faculty of the Congress provided for in article 73, section XXX, of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on September 15, 2017, it is necessary to rethink the idea of the location of Family Law, and if it reaches its recognition as an autonomous legal science, therefore, its location in the different branches of Law, since in Mexico, family and relationships affective-juridical that interweave, have transferred the traditional grouping in Private Law to be placed within the Social Law, criterion that should be taken into account at the moment of executing the faculty conferred to the federal Legislative Power. Ante una posible reforma federal en materia procesal civil y familiar, conforme a la facultad del Congreso prevista en el artículo 73, fracción XXX, de la Constitución Política de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos, publicada en el Diario Oficial de la Federación el 15 de septiembre de 2017, se hace necesario replantear la idea de la ubicación del Derecho de Familia, y si ésta alcanza su reconocimiento como ciencia jurídica autónoma, por tanto, su ubicación en las distintas ramas del Derecho, toda vez que en México, la familia y las relaciones jurídico-afectivas que la entrelazan, han traspasado la agrupación tradicional en el Derecho Privado para situarse dentro del Derecho Social, criterio que deberá tomarse en cuenta al momento de ejecutar la facultad conferida al Poder Legislativo federal.
