Description: | This paper reports the largest content analysis yet of television adverts targeted at children in Latin America. Findings show similar patterns to those previously reported from developed countries in terms of amount of advertising, depicted products and persuasive strategies. However, a relevant deficit is evidenced regarding the use of elements facilitating young viewers understanding of commercial messages. Este artículo presenta el análisis de contenido más grande de publicidad infantil realizado en Latinoamérica. Los resultados son similares a los descritos en países desarrollados tanto en presencia publicitaria como, productos y recursos persuasivos más empleados. No obstante, existe un déficit importante de elementos que favorecen la comprensión publicitaria. |
