Título:	Identification of two kinds of digressions in Mexican and French speech Identificación de dos tipos de digresiones en el discurso de mexicanas y francesas

Descripción:	This research seeks to identify the digressions in the Mexican and French speech. They have been conducted four qualitative interviews with the purpose of obtaining oral narratives. These interviews were conducted with four participants, two Mexican women and two French women. Digressions identified in each interview were classified into 2 different types. The topics that generate these digressions were analized as well as the quantity and the function of these digressions. The results about the digressions, the topics that generate them, the quantity and their fonctions were contrasted in Spanish interviews and French interviews. It is concluded that Mexican introduce more digressions in their speech that French people, and that the purpose of their digressions varies according to their culture. La presente investigación busca identificar las digresiones en el discurso mexicano y francés. Se llevaron a cabo entrevistas cualitativas con el propósito de obtener narrativas orales. Las entrevistas se realizaron a cuatro participantes, dos mujeres mexicanas y dos mujeres francesas. Las digresiones identificadas en cada una de las entrevistas fueron clasificadas en dos tipos diferentes. Se analizan los tópicos que arrojan dichas digresiones, la cantidad y la función de estas por cada una de las participantes. Se contrastan los resultados de las digresiones identificadas en las entrevistas en español y las entrevistas en francés, el número de digresiones según su tipo y los tópicos que las arrojan. Se concluye que las mexicanas introducen más digresiones en su discurso que las francesas, así como que el propósito de sus digresiones varía según la cultura.
